I've now found the source code for this tool. It's expecting to get the 7 dll files from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Opalis Software\Opalis Integration Server\Extensions (on a 32 bit box) on the Opalis server. I've just checked 6 of the Oplais servers in our infrastucture and only 2 of the required dlls exist on any of them (msvcp71.dll & msvcr71.dll)! That just leaves ACE.dll (which is Adobe and so pretty standard).

I have been unable to get this to function! It brings up the list of polices from the Opalis Management Server OK but when I select one and click the Generate Visio diagram ... button, I get an unhandled exception

(System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x86DB0789): An error occurred. Visio is unable to complete importing.)

The documentation lists 7 dll files which "The tool now automatically copies .. locally". Well, it doesn't because I don't have

acexml_parser.dll, runtimeexecutiondata.dll, acexml.dll or base.dll

and they're not present on the Opalis Management Server either. Where are they supposed to come from?

My Workstation is XPSP3 with (Visio 2010 Premium and Office 2010 Professional Plus) and the Opalis Management Server is Windows Server 2003 SP1.

Have you confirmed that the .NET 3.51 feature has been installed on the server?

I've noticed that the SystemCenter IP's require the "Visual C++ 2005-2008-2010 Redistributable Package (x86)". I don't know what version is exactly needed.

You can find the 2005 version with links to the more recent versions here.

Hi all. then I try to install the SCCM, SCOM or SCSM Integration Pack I recive the next event. Can anybody help me?

This site is for samples created by the Opalis team at Microsoft. We're working on delivering a solution for easy community sharing of IPs, but that's not going to be ready until early next year. I would suggest you create your own CodePlex project, especially if you 'll have several IPs. We'll be happy to reference yours!

Hi All: I'm new to this forum. I wanted to know what the rules are with sharing field / community developed integration packs on this site. I'm working on a few projects for adding integration capability to Opalis to both some applications as well as hardware. As I develop the integration packs, I wanted to know if it was ok for me to share them here or if I need to make a new codeplex form?

Hi,

Don't know whether this is a discussion or a feature request (or both) but let's start here. ;-)

Anyone else already "played" with the Data Manipulation Integration Pack features?

Although I can understand the difficulties in coding the new objects (like Join, Split, Compare Multiple Values etc), I think it would be very practical if one could alter the field names instead of using Field01, Field02 etc. The latter makes the Opalis Policies very difficult to understand!

Any chance on getting this changed in future releases?
